Our Story
Mên-an-Tol Brewhouse was founded by a husband and wife team. Combining their creativity, craft, and love of Cornwall to build something unique. With a shared passion for flavour, design, and community, they've set out to create a brewery and taproom that felt both welcoming and rooted in Cornwall’s heritage.
Inspired by the iconic standing stones of Mên-an-Tol, they are building a space where people can gather, relax, and enjoy beer made with care. What began as a small idea has grown into a vibrant hub for locals and visitors alike, whether you’re from Penzance or further afield, there’s always a warm welcome waiting.
At Mên-an-Tol Brewhouse, we focus on traditional beer styles — whether classic British, flavour-forward New World, or timeless European.
Whilst we’re rooted in brewing heritage, acknowledging and respecting tradition gives us the freedom to play. It means we can make traditional cask ale exciting for new generations of ale drinkers, while still crafting something familiar for the drinkers who know exactly what they love. Our goal is to honour the past while keeping it alive, relevant, and enjoyable for everyone who walks through our doors.
We brew in small batches, ensuring care, consistency, and balance in every pint. Our core range showcases approachable, well-crafted styles that anyone can enjoy, while our seasonal and experimental brews let us explore new interpretations of these traditions.
